A Wild Delight
I’m a full-time painter as well as a naturalist, trained in studio art, graphic design, and landscape architecture. For me, uncovering connections and patterns in nature serves to recognize our kinship to the natural world– a beginning reconciliation with the earth we’ve ravaged. My studio extends to my gardens where I nurture an edible landscape.
I view the colors and marks that exit the end of my brush as documentary to Nature’s algorithms. I work without a subject in mind, and not from drawings or sketches. Paint records experience as data in abstract landscape form.
