Earning a degree in art education helped to expand my art interests in many media: spinning and weaving, basketry, pottery, jewelry making, altered book making, mixed media collage, drawing and painting, and textiles. I taught art in high school for over twenty years and six years ago retired. I missed the influence of my students who always opened doors to new ways of thinking and who inspired my creativity.

Just as our communities work, small fabric blocks, curved and stitched, linked together with hand stitching reaching out to one another to form a cohesive grouping. Threads duplicate the colors but grow into one another striving to be the same yet different.
