Morel with Lily
I work using 19th Century photographic techniques that employ up to a 20 x 24″ plate camera. Processes included – tintype, collodion negative, carbon, salt, albumen, collodion chloride and cyanotype.
These processes have been taught to me by the world’s leading expert and process historian, Mark Osterman, at the George Eastman House in Rochester, NY. My passion for creating work in this way is driven by the connection to the knowledge of the materials and process, through the history of photography and the feeling one produces from the act of its creation.
