Adam Stoner Solo Exhibition

Adam Stoner makes paintings, drawings, and video installations that visualize the intimate connections between architecture and our imagined interiorities. A recent MFA graduate from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee’s Peck School of the Arts, Adam is the recipient of UWM’s Chancellor’s Graduate Student Award, Layton Fellowship, and Williams College’s Gilbert W. Gabriel Prize in Theater.

TMA guest curator, Dakota Mace received her MA and MFA degrees in Photography and Textile Design at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her BFA in Photography from the Institute of American Indian Arts. She is currently a lecturer in photography at UW–Madison and a photographer for the Center of Design and Material Culture. Her work as an artist and scholar has been exhibited nationally and internationally at various conferences and galleries.

Since 2020, TMA’s Atrium gallery space has been solely dedicated to our Art is Her initiative. The Art is Her exhibition series celebrates women artists and champions their goal of achieving museum presence equal to men. Women have long seen inequality in the art world, and today remain dramatically underrepresented and undervalued in museums and galleries.

Artists Oct-Dec 2021: Nikki Johnson and Abby Gammons.
