Community Art Projects

In 2021, the Trout Museum of Art launched a new initiative to bring art outside the museum walls and engage Fox Cities residents in community-wide art projects. Our goal is to engage thousands of residents each year in fun, educational art projects that leave a visual impact and a lasting impression on our community. With the help of our lead partner, SECURA Insurance Company, TMA’s Community Art Projects grow to be bigger and better each year.

TMA is accepting project proposals from any artists who would like to lead a project in 2023.
TMA will select several artists’ proposals and will pay for the projects.

TMA hosts 3 – 4 community-wide art projects each year with a goal to engage residents in fun, educational art projects that leave a visual impact and a lasting impression on our community, and celebrates diversity, inclusion, & sense of belonging. Projects ideas are welcome for further discussion but may center around multicultural holidays, Downtown Appleton, summertime events, or Trout Museum of Art events, to name a few.
