In Light of the Pandemic

In the beginning of the pandemic, I felt lost in the uncertainty of everything. My school had shut down, I was confined to my house, and everyday the internet was flooded with worse and worse news. I was finally able to escape with my sister to a park near my house, which is where I took this photograph. Even in the darkness of a world plagued by a pandemic, there is always some light that can find its way through like sunlight navigates between leaves. If we lose sight of that light, we will only come to remember division and anger; however, if we can keep our eyes on that light ray of hope, we will survive to see another dawn.
