Light Below

This piece is entitled “Light Below.” On first glance, one may see the light shining from the table and the dim lights from behind teh umbrella. This is light literally below, but the light is truly hidden under the women’s surface. There is more than what meets the eye. There is more to a woman than just makeup and glam which is showcased on the right side of of the painting. In addition, to show her intelligence and eagerness she has to learn more. The color of cloud white the face was to represent the innocence and purity of the woman. Overall, this painting is of everyday objects, but I hope every viewer can look deeper and see the truer meaning.
