Golden Gate Bridge At Night

The piece I created, “The Golden Gate Bridge at Night,” was something I was immediately drawn to from the start. The reason for this was the way the reflections are a large part of the piece. There was something serene about the piece given that it took place at night. I chose to take the bridge, a historical part of America, and translate that beauty into a drawing. In that process, I used colored pencils on a dark sheet of paper to capture the aspect of night time. In contrast to other pieces I’ve created, this piece contains far more detail. Detail was important in order to bring realism into the piece.
