This white charcoal piece sparked a love for art inside of me that I didn’t know was there. I chose to draw this photo because it brings me back to a time in my life that was a lot easier. I was less aware of some major issues that were surrounding me and was in a place where I was simply happier. This photo and person, specifically, bring me a lot of joy and I am so happy that I was able to capture that joy and replicate it into something tangible. I have never drawn any thing like this before and the whole process was a big learning experience, but it was an extremely enjoyable and rewarding experience. I am really proud of what I was able to accomplish with this piece.
