Leah Huff

Leah Huff graduated from UW Oshkosh with a Bachelors of Science degree. She has been teaching painting classes for the past 6 years and loves sharing techniques on how to blend acrylic paints, hold your brushes, different brush strokes, and more! Creating is good for the soul.

Class Offering
Paint your pet! You won’t want to leave once class comes to an end! You’ll arrive with your beloved pet already sketched onto your canvas, with a colored print-out of their cute little faces as a reference photo while we create. I instruct the class as a whole, and then cruise around to give each of you my individual attention at different intervals of the class. I help you navigate through which colors to use, a variety of brush strokes, blending techniques and when to step back from your work to get the bigger picture. I encourage my students to go rogue with their paintings, following as much or as little of my instructions as they wish! Our time together is meant to be a joyous occasion, with lots of chatter and music while we allow the buzz of creativity to flow.

Mel Kolstad

Mel Kolstad is an artist living in Fond du Lac. She crates tiny drypoint prints and collages.

Join Mel Kolstad for a fun night of food, friends, fun….and printmaking! If you think this sounds difficult….think again! We’ll be making small prints using Mel’s patented finger-painting technique, with results guaranteed to blow you away with your creativity and talent!

This is a no-experience-necessary event – really! You don’t have to know how to draw or paint. All you have to do is bring yourselves and your friends – we’ll provide the rest!

Hannah Kuplack

Hannah Kuplack is an independent artist, small business owner, and art educator for the Kaukauna Area School District. She has a Bachelor of Fine arts with an emphasis in figure drawing and art metals from the UW Oshkosh. Her philosophy is that art is an intrinsically natural human experience whether a creator, explorer, or observer. The creation or enjoyment of art plays an important part in the mental and emotional wellness of our communities.

Jessica Lomena

Jessica Lomena is a self-taught watercolor artist and small business owner of Jlowatercolor. A Wisconsin native, her artwork is focused on the natural world and finding themes of balance. She is passionate about supporting local artists and is the creator of the Oshkosh Art Collective.

Class Offering
Suminagashi (sue-me-na-gashi) is the ancient Japanese technique of paper marbling. Dating back to the 12th century, it originated as a meditative practice that combines water, ink, and “chi” (energy flow). During this fun 2-hour workshop, local artist, Jessica Lomena, demonstrates how to make Suminagashi prints and encourages participants to explore this beautiful process. Everyone has the opportunity to make multiple prints and then choose their favorite for matting. Attendees will walk away with a folder of their work and a new stunning piece of art ready to frame!
