Artist Bio:

It is important to me to make art that is positive and encouraging. If the project heartens people and causes a smile, then I consider my art successful. 

My work would be a wall installation of multiple ceramic pieces. (Each figure is 7” wide x 4” tall.) This gives much flexibility in the size of the finished work as well as the overall shape of the installation. There are also many options of color that could be chosen. Even the shape of the individual ceramic pieces could be different. (e.g. Instead of figures, faces could be created.) 

My installation, “Kin,” is on display at NWTC’s main campus in Green Bay. My goal with this project was that from a distance, people would be drawn in by the variety of colors. And, as they approached, they would see that each figure is uniquely textured or carved. We are kin. One beautiful community made of amazing individuals.
