International Women’s Day | Free Admission & Panel

Visit the Trout Museum of Art galleries for free in celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8. Open 10am – 7pm, explore three exhibitions: Illuminating Women, Nort, and The Body Problem. International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

Stay for a free panel discussion highlighting some of the inspiring women featured in TMA’s Illuminating Women exhibition, providing an opportunity for women and girls from our community to listen to their stories and draw inspiration from their words.

Moderator | Laura Welsh, Community Relations Consultant, Kimberly-Clark North America

As the Corporate Social Responsibility and Community Impact Manager, Laura oversees the philanthropic work and social impact for Kimberly-Clark North America (KCNA), which has an annual revenue of more than $8 billion U.S. dollars. In her role, she works closely with the Kimberly-Clark Foundation and U.S. Brands like Huggies®, Cottonelle® and U by Kotex® to help further its impact and brand purpose through charitable giving and brand campaigns.

Laura joined Kimberly-Clark in 2015. Prior to, Laura worked with multiple nonprofit agencies, developing her skill and passion for social impact. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and holds a certification in Corporate Social Responsibility from John Hopkins University. Laura is driven to help KCNA and its consumer brands live out their mission of Better Care for a Better World.

Laura currently resides in Appleton, Wisconsin with her husband Ryan and their three children.
