Yoga & Drawing | Adults 15+
Blending several styles of Hatha Yoga, students will practice asanas and postures before enjoying the creative energy flow in TMA’s galleries with a short, quiet freestyle drawing segment. Drawing will enable students to be mindful of their individual experiences and feelings before transitioning into Yin Yoga for a relaxing, stress relieving, slow moving style that improves circulation, mobility, and flexibility. This class is open to all abilities (art and yoga!), and allows students to practice in a way that is right for their individual needs that day.

Meet the Educator
Karla Hammond earned her BFA at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and has a passion for relaxation and healing through art. Her personal areas of interest are drawing, painting, and sculpting. Karla is a certified instructor through American Council on Exercise and has been teaching Yoga classes at local health clubs, office health rooms, and community classrooms for over twenty years. She feels that combining freestyle self-expression through pencil and paper with relaxing Yoga styles such as Yin Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Kundalini, and Viniyoga is a wonderful way to improve and increase one’s overall health and happiness.
