Have you always wanted to learn how to make jewelry using precious metals like sterling silver, but felt intimidated by the cost of getting started? Working with real silver doesn’t require a set up that costs hundreds of dollars! In this two-day workshop, we’ll learn some basics of how to start working with Sterling Silver. Create a chunky silver chain bracelet using sterling silver wire and a medium called Silver Metal Clay. For the chain, you’ll have the option to shape your links using a variety of techniques, texture the silver, learn basic wire wrap, and construct your own clasp. You’ll have options to polish to a bright finish, or patina to bring out the details. We will wrap it all up by learning finishing techniques that will make your work really shine.
