Join the Trout Museum of Art, the Museum of Wisconsin Art, and arts organizations from around Wisconsin for Chalk the State! During the weekend of July 25 and 26, take to your sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots to create bright, joyful art and spread positive messages to share with friends, family, and neighbors that remind us all that even apart, we’re in this together.

We will be chalking outside the museum on July 25th from 8am – 11:00am during Downtown Appleton’s Farmer’s Market. Watch artist Irineo Medina chalk the museum or grab a piece of chalk and spread your message on the sidewalks outside TMA. Youth are welcome to assist Irineo.

Can’t make it out to the museum on July 25th? That’s okay! Chalk where you are and spread your creations across the state. Tag us on social media!

Visit for more information on Chalk the State.

Chalking will take place outside.
