EXHIBITION

A World Away

Dec 13, 2019 – Jan 6, 2020
Fifth Floor – John & Susan Toussaint Student Artist Gallery

Artist Irineo Medina worked collaboratively with refugee students from Kaleidoscope Academy to create a body of work reflective of the various countries these students immigrated from. Together, they created drawings to represent their home. Working for over a month and a half of after school classes, they then turned those drawings into linocut relief prints. After the students hand pulled their own prints, Irineo editioned them for the students off his studio press. The students pulled memories from their different walks of life to create these beautiful prints.

5th floor John & Susan Toussaint Student Artist Gallery is free to the public during museum hours.
