Dear Friends, Sponsors, and Partners,

Thank you for supporting the Trout Museum of Art’s Art at the Park festival in 2023. With your help, we celebrated our 63rd year with a free two-day community festival with more art, creative activities, food, music, and fun! Thank you for being part of our amazing team. We couldn’t be more grateful to you! Your continued partnership makes Art at the Park happen.

The following Art at the Park Annual Impact Report will give you an inside look into the festival, celebrated on July 22 & 23.

Your support not only helps the Trout Museum of Art, but drives a meaningful financial impact on our local economy. Providing a free annual celebration of the visual art makes art accessible to everyone in our community and the state of Wisconsin.

We can’t wait to see you July 27 & 28, 2024!

With gratitude,
Christina Turner, Executive Director
Julie Gardner, Art at the Park Coordinator
The entire Trout Museum of Art team

The Largest Celebration of Art in the Fox Cities

The Largest Celebration of Art in the Fox Cities

Over 200 artists surrounded City Park in July. Professional vendors shared work from over 20 different mediums including painting, photography, woodworking, fiber, clothing, glass, pottery, and more.

Young artists under age 18 also learned entrepreneurship and business skills sharing and selling their work as artist vendors.

Food & Beverages

With a large selection of 19 food trucks and vendors, everyone enjoyed delicious food, sweets, lemonade, kettlecorn, and more. We also welcomed 3 local breweries.

Art Activities

From the Kids Creative Space to Miller Electric’s welding project to origami with guest New York artist Talo Kawaski, there was tons to do for every age level! Visitors could tie-dye, get their caricature drawn, their face painted, add to a large origami installation, or learn to weld!

Music

Mile of Music helped to curate a fantastic two-day line-up of musical entertainment for the soundstage. TMA also awarded a total of $5,100 to top artists Saturday night. Plus, a magic show each morning kept everyone entertained!

2023 Festival Financials

2023 Financials

With the help of Community First Credit Union, the John and Julie Schmidt Family Foundation’s community match, and all our area sponsors, the festival had a strong financial outcome that helps TMA’s programming year-round and bring over 1.5 million dollars to our local economy. Thank you!

Event & Sponsor Promotion

How the community learned about Art at the Park!

With the help of Community First Credit Union, the John and Julie Schmidt Family Foundation’s community match, and all our area sponsors, we let everyone know what was happening at Art at the Park this year. Thank you!

Signage

A large-scale 30+ foot truss system with all Art at the Park supporters! Logos were visible when walking from both directions. Additional signage was placed in each sponsorship area with individual sponsor logos.

T-Shirts & Maps

Event volunteers and staff sported t-shirts featuring partner logos all weekend long. Printed maps were handed out to the festival’s thousands of visitors throughout the two days.

Online & Social Media

Partners are recognized all year on the Trout Museum of Art and Art at the Park webpages, in TMA’s e-newsletter, and on the museum’s video donor wall.

Additional recognition prior to and during the event went out on Art at the Park’s social media. January through April, we focused on a “call for artists.” May through July, we focused on Art at the Park dates, event details, and sponsors.

Fox River Mall

Throughout the month of July Art at the Park was featured at the Fox River Mall in Appleton promoting the days of the event.

Direct Mail

Art at the Park was featured as the center spread in TMA’s new magazine. A 28-page magazine, the pages on the festival promoted what was happening, sponsors, and our community match!

Television

Live segments leading up to and during Art at the Park kept the local community in the know. TMA staff and participating artists were featured on Fox 11, Local 5 Live, and WBAY.
